Faet is the leading Italian company in the market of electromechanical and electro-technical components and spare parts. We have premises that cover more than 7000 m² where we store and produce materials intended for building and repairing static and rotating electrical machines, and we are always able to offer our customers precise, quick service.

Our History:

 

1960s: In 1965, Dante Negri spotted a "gap in the market" due to his extensive personal experience in the sales department of an important technical products company. He realised that there was no commercial operator acting as a middleman between producers and users. He therefore founded Forniture Articoli Elettro Tecnici (its acronym, FAET, quickly became the brand name) and started to run a modest warehouse of technical articles (mainly brushes, armatures, and collectors) and printed his first "catalogue" on a pre-franked postcard that was sent to electromechanical repair workshops and hardware dealers.

1970s: The founder's two young sons-in-law entered the company, bringing with them a wave of new items, and the catalogue was extended to the point of becoming a real point of reference for professionals in the electromechanical sector. Faet started to deliver all over Italy, and set up the first commercial network of salespersons that cover almost the whole of the country.

 

1980s: Faet once again changes premises to back the growth in turnover (and thus of the warehouse), but most importantly it opened a new division for manufacturing insulating paper/cables and sheaths for manufacturers of electric motors and transformers.

 

1990s: At this point, it seems that Faet underwent a bit of a loss of identity. The Company's position on the market was established, but with the founder leaving the Company, the drive towards ongoing renewal seemed to be lacking and some difficulty arose in managing the generation change. These events distracted the Company's interest in continually keeping in touch with customers and with the market.

2000s: The desire to once again operate with a strategic plan, and to modernise the company by investing financial and human resources returned with the "third generation". These were years of great change. The Company set-up changed; management, entrusted to Dr Gabriele Guidi, shifted from a strictly family-based logic to a more managerial approach. The organisation changed significantly, and favoured strong professional and qualitative growth among personnel thanks to the arrival of new and motivated members of staff that provided support and contributed to defining a strategic vision. This activity is centred on the new premises in Rozzano that cover an area of more than 7000 m². An investment plan - that's currently still in progress - renewed the company in terms of computers and technology: the production department doubled in size and the warehouse was partially automated, with clear effects on the quality of service provided. Faet's renewed dynamism attracted new business partners. The Company went from the simple concept of buying to collaborating and forming partnerships with its suppliers, and began acting as co-protagonist in developing new solutions for the sector: The goal was to combine its experience with the needs identified daily in the market with the skills of the research and development departments of our suppliers/business partners to provide solutions that are always technologically advanced.

 

 

The Vision:

 

Over the next few years, Faet intends to continue following this chosen path. The Company wants to complete its investment plan and further develop the skills and professionalism of Company personnel. Faet started as a commercial company and its philosophy will always be "quality service". This is the product we sell, and that sets us apart from other operators: Maximum transparency and correctness in dealing with our customers, guaranteeing safety and quality levels of materials, minimising errors, speed of delivery, and compliance with specifications and deadlines agreed. In order to guarantee its service, Faet cannot overlook the people that make up the Company and that determine its identity. Final results must be characterised by long-term sustainability, where the people that make up the organisation are central to the process. The Company has therefore adopted a combined organisational logic oriented towards professional growth, respect for personal dignity and safeguarding the physical and psychological integrity of workers. For this reason, Faet constantly invests in on-the-job worker safety by constantly modernising and improving workplaces, training and information programmes, and rigorous compliance with laws and regulations.
