The Polifibra Group is specialised in making and processing flexible materials for technical uses.
The Group's major Company, Polifibra s.p.a. was founded in Milan in 1969 for the purpose of making shaped and cropped insulators to be used in the electromechanical and electronics industries.
In the years that followed, new technologies were developed and a European network was set up for production and distribution. The Polifibra Group has production facilities in Italy, France, Germany and England, covering a total area under cover of 22,000 square metres.
In thirty years time, the 3 employees it started out with have now increased to more than 170, and the success achieved has led the Polifibra Group to develop activities in three major application sectors:
• Production of screening tape for the cable industry.
• Production of flexible electrical insulation for the electromechanical and electronics industries.
• Research, design, and manufacturing of "purpose-made" composite materials for technical uses.
After more than 30 years in the business, the Company's dedication and enthusiasm have remained unaltered. In fact, we have increased our know-how, and also our ability to share that knowledge with our customers.
We are assisted along this route by valuable travel companions: on the basis of a happy alliance, FAET supports Polifibra in processing and distributing flexible electrical insulation, making its extensive knowledge of products and applications available to our customers.
We are certain that this association allows us to always be abreast with the needs and expectations of our customers.

The Nitto Denko Corporation was founded in Osaka (Japan) in 1918. It started out with the production insulating resins for electrical use, and then extended its range over the years to the point of satisfying most needs in the adhesive technology sector.
Currently, it operates worldwide through 116 companies in 24 countries around the world, and has production plants in Europe, Asia, Japan, and America.
In 1974 Nitto Europe N.V. was set up in Genk (Belgium), mainly to produce adhesive insulation tape for electrical use and surface protection materials. Today, this company also has other production lines such as: two-sided adhesive tape, EPDM soundproofing materials, anti-vibration materials, and materials for electronic production plants. Nitto Europe N.V. operates in compliance with the strictest ecological and technological standards, and for this reason it has been awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
By acquiring the PERMACEL Group, the Nitto Denko Corporation has also been able to increase its role in other markets, like the Aeronautical, Electro-technical and Electronic sectors. With its current wide range of adhesive tape for electrical use that complies with the major specifications in the sector (IMQ/VDE/EN/UL/CSA), the Nitto Denko Group is now a company able to offer the ideal product for each application in any part of the world. The Control Products business unit at Sensata Technologies has for decades been at the forefront of the market for bimetal heat protection devices and owns the KlixonTM brand name, which is used to identify products that use this technology.
Sensata Technologies' production units and commercial offices are located around the world to provide optimum coverage of the markets served.
In Europe, our business centre is located in Almelo in Holland, where the Managerial, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics / Customer Service departments for this area can be found.
The Hungarian plant in Szekesfehervár is now a mature establishment that produces some of our most successful products.
Our devices are diverse in order to cover the vast array of market requirements in terms of currents and working temperatures. These are based on deformation caused by temperature on a bimetallic disc that has a contact at one end.
Below this, a second contact is connected to the device itself. When the disc temperature goes above the activation threshold, the moving contact opens and interrupts the flow of current. When the temperature drops below the resetting threshold, the contact closes again and the application is able to recommence normal operation. The sensitivity to current, which can be finely adjusted to suit the characteristics of the application, guarantees optimum response speed both for overloading and for short-circuits / rotor blockage.
Our range of products is completed by the CR series of Ammeter relays that make it possible to switch the starting phase for induction motors, and deactivate it once starting has been completed. As soon as the peak current diminishes, the magnetic equipment in the relay is released and the contact connected to it opens.
For years, FAEThas worked with Sensata Technologies to provide wide-ranging distribution of our products in the complex, varied Italian production system. Thanks to the special collaborative relationship that we have, FAET customers can also access the Dutch technical know-how resources and application laboratory support in order to determine which protective device and/or thermostat is best suited to the application to be protected. The application laboratory support from our Dutch business centre is offered free of charge to Sensata technologies' best customers.
