POLYESTER – FAETISO B1

The polyester film is transparent or milky, flexible, and highly resistant to tensile forces, tearing, and impacts. It is inert and impermeable to oils, greases and volatile aromatic compounds. It does not contain allergens or plasticisers and under normal conditions does not degrade over time. It has high electrical insulation properties. It retains all its finest properties, remaining tough, flexible and highly insulating electrically at temperatures between -70° and + 150°C, and is currently used for a vast field of industrial use such as, for example:

  • Electrical insulation for motors, generators, transformers, coils, cables and conductors;
  • Thermal and physical barriers;
  • Separating agent;
  • Membrane switches;
  • Support material for laminating and joining with others to obtain compounds with varied features.

In thicknesses from 50 to 350 micron it can be shaped, heat formed, and moulded. In lesser thicknesses it is wrapped around pipes, laminates, etc in a spiral.

Using polyester film makes it possible to:

  • Reduce the volume and weight of equipment;
  • Increase the level of electrical insulation;
  • Increase the working temperature;
  • Improve planning and automate production cycles;
  • Replace thicker insulation materials.

The original certified polyester film is approved in terms of UL American standards and IEC/CEI international standards.
